Optimus Prime Peterbilt! What do you think, should he have stayed the cabover or did this unit hit the spot?
We had the honor of being invited to the set of Transformer 3, and got to shoot the famous Optimus Prime Peterbilt first hand. I personally love this 379 version of the hero, due to the more modern day trucks seen, and the more masscaline, mean look of the conventional. This rig looks like it means business! The truck is a 1985 version of 379 Peterbilt line of trucks, and his decked out in blue marker lights and a host of chrome and goodies. . . What do you think?
Over the Top White! Do you know where it is today?
Over the top was one of those movies that sticks in your head because of the big rig Sly was trying to win in the arm Westling contest. . . I love this unit. One of the original trucks just sold at auction in California a few months ago, and we missed a window of opportunity to shot that one. If you know the new owner please let us know at EEW magazine so we may contact them for a good shoot on the truck today.
Story in volume 1 of Elegance on Eighteen Wheels. . .
If you haven't seen the magazine your missing a good issue. We did a great shoot and interview with the owner of this beast of a Kenworth. With all its goodies this rigs rules when it comes on site. If you got a issue of the magazine and saw this what did you think? We had a blast shooting and share the times at the show with the truck and bikes. . . Harley Davidson has the art of presentation down to a science, and it working well!
The Godfather Peterbilt!
We had the honor of meeting the teams of CSM at the Gats show a few years ago and did this shoot for the model we did in 1:24th scale. This was the first time the show was displayed at an event. The truck hit me like a rolling Pete! I was floored and still love this unit out of all the ones done! Have you ever seen this truck in person? What did it do for you or did it not do anything? This whole concept is fitting for the theme of the truck "Godfather". I would like to see it again today. . . anyone know where it is, give your thoughts on this masterpiece. . .
Well the first issue is out, what do you think?
The first issue of EEW was released in March 2013 and boy have we been pleased with the response of the magazine. Issue 2 is set for mid may and we have a new set of big rigs to excite your visual senses! what do you think of the magazine, and what would you like to see in the future?
